Location

Pergamon Ancient City is located in Bergama, a town in Izmir Province, western Turkey. The Acropolis sits atop a prominent hill overlooking the modern town, while the Asklepion is located about 2 km southwest of the town center.

From Izmir (100 km)

  • By Car:Take the E87/D550 highway north. The journey takes approximately 1.5 hours.
  • By Bus:Regular buses depart from Izmir's main bus terminal (Otogar). Journey time is about 2 hours.
  • Day Tour:Many operators offer guided day trips from Izmir including transportation.

Parking
